Second Multiplier Event of the Game4Change Project in Maribor, Slovenia
On December 2, 2024, the second Multiplier Event of the Game4Change project took place in Maribor, Slovenia, hosted by project partner DOBA Business School.

The rich and engaging program included a keynote lecture by Dr. Martin Ebner from TU Graz on the topic “How Learning Analytics, Gamification and beyond can contribute to Online Learning” and a panel talk with five experts from the field of gamification and game-based learning: Dr. Maja Pivec (FH Graz), Dr. Martin Ebner (TU Graz), Prof. Dr. Rajiv Vaid Basaiawmoit (Aarhus University), Prof. Dr. Helge Fischer (TU Dresden), and Thomas Kunze (Games Institute Austria). They discussed the topic “How Learning Analytics, Gamification and beyond can contribute to Online Learning in Business Education.”

The 40 on-site participants and 30 online attendees gained inspiring insights into the current research focuses of the experts as well as into the general field of game-based learning. Participants from over 10 European countries contributed to an international learning atmosphere during the subsequent workshops.

The workshops covered various topics such as “Educational Escape Rooms – A Promising Approach to New Ways of Learning” and “From Lecture to Adventure: Transforming Education with Game Elements”, offering participants the opportunity to explore the issues raised during the keynote and panel discussion in depth.

Following the event, an additional transnational project meeting, organized by DOBA Business School, was held on-site. This provided a valuable opportunity to work intensively on specific project content and directly integrate the new inputs from the Multiplier Event into the project context.
The next and final Multiplier Event is planned for September 2025 in Dresden and will serve as the closing conference for the Game4Change project, which is set to conclude at the end of October. We will keep you updated with further information about this upcoming event.
